There are roughly three types of fruit cold storage room, namely: fruit fresh-keeping cold storage room, fruit quick-freezing cold storage room and fruit air conditioning storage room.
Is there any difference between the three kinds of cold storage fresh-keeping temperature and storage time?
1. Comparison of storage temperature
From the perspective of storage temperature, the fruit fresh-keeping warehouse and the fruit air conditioning warehouse are roughly the same, the temperature is generally (0℃~10℃), and the fresh-keeping temperature of some tropical fruits, such as bananas and mangoes, is set above 10℃;
The temperature requirement of quick-freezer for fruit is relatively low, and the temperature is generally set at about -35℃. For example, quick-frozen durians, quick-frozen blueberries, etc., after being frozen, put them in a -18℃ low-temperature freezer for refrigeration;
2. Comparison of storage time
From the perspective of storage time: storage time of fruit quick-freeze storage> fruit air conditioning storage> fruit fresh-keeping storage;
But judging from the quality of fresh fruits:
The air conditioning warehouse has the best fresh-keeping effect, does not damage the cell structure of the fruit, and has the lowest loss;
The fresh-keeping effect and time of the fresh-keeping warehouse is slightly worse than that of the air-conditioned warehouse;
Although the quick-freezing warehouse keeps fresh for a long time, the cell structure of the fruit will be destroyed due to low temperature freezing during the preservation process, and the original flavor of the fruit will not be maintained.
So what fruits can be stored in the cold storage room?
According to the growing zone, it can be divided into tropical fruits, subtropical fruits, warm temperate fruits, medium temperate fruits and frigid fruits.
Tropical fruits include: coconut, mango, pineapple, lychee, loquat, carambola, durian, papaya, banana, etc.;
Subtropical fruits: grapes, nectarines, dragon fruit, cherries, dates, citrus, plums, lemons, etc.;
Warm-temperate, mid-temperate, and cold-zone fruits: melon, persimmon, strawberry, cantaloupe, orange, apricot, bayberry, peach, apple, watermelon, kiwi, etc.
The construction and selection of fruit cold storage room should follow the following principles:
(1) It should meet the requirements of the local master plan and be approved by the local planning department;
(2) There should be good sanitary conditions around the storage site, and it must be avoided and kept away from harmful gases, dust, smoke, dust and other areas with pollution sources;
(3) Choose a place with convenient transportation;
(4) Reliable water source, power source and drainage conditions should be available;
(5) It should be selected in a place with higher terrain and good engineering geological conditions.
